Spring 2007 - Caring Dads developers
Katreena Scott and Tim Kelly presented at the Third International
Conference Children Exposed to Domestic Violence. Both Katreena
and Tim participated in the pre-conference workshop, "Domestic
Violence & Child Custody Disputes" as well as a symposia
session, "Responsible Intervention with Fathers who Have Been
Violent in their Families. Tim Kelly presented at an additional
symposia session related to the Neighbours, Friends, and Families
campaign, "Getting the Word Out".
2005 - Caring Dads developers Katreena Scott and
Tim Kelly were invited to conduct a two-day intensive training of
the Caring Dads program in London, England. Along with the Caring
Dads developers, Dermot Bradley, of London Probation Services, along
with Dr. Jane Lindsay from Kingston University participated in training
a group of 40 participants with additional assistance from colleagues

We offer agencies in Ontario, who have an existing
presence in the anti-violence movement, and who are interested in
potentially running a Caring Dads program, the opportunity to receive
training and consultation on implementing the Caring Dads program.
We encourage joint applications from child protection agencies,
woman's advocacy groups and PAR programs. The training is generally
run on two consecutive days by two facilitators. The training can
be structured in such a way as to be applicable to managers, program
directors, and community partners (one day), and the second day
could focus on the specifics of running the Caring Dads group. Please
contact us directly for more information about receiving training,
providing information about your agency, community partnerships
and familiarity with the Caring Dads program.
